Tonya Spens, Chair
1940 Anchor Society
The 1940 Anchor Society is an association of individuals deeply interested in ARMC and the continued provision of quality health care services in Northeast Michigan.
Each member contributes at least $100 or more annually. Membership contributions have been used to construct a mammography suite, complete with two state-of-the-art mammography machines. In addition, membership contributions funded the construction of a Patient/Family Conference Room located in the Alpena Cancer Center. Currently, members of the 1940 Anchor Society contributions are directed toward patient enhancements.
This is a direct-mail appeal that is mailed annually. Year-end donations can be made by clicking here. These donations can also qualify as tax deductions.
Memorial & Tribute Garden
Participants donate $10 or more to honor or memorialize a loved one with flowers planted in the ARMC garden outside the cafeteria. The names of those who have donated appear on a plaque, which hangs in the hospital dining room, and are published in To Your Health magazine.
G.I.F.T. is the acronym for Getting Involved for Tomorrow. G.I.F.T. represents the employees of ARMC building a better health care facility by providing financial support through payroll deductions.
Since 1993, ARMC employees have donated over $300,000 and funded the following projects:
- Renovated the employee lounge
- Installed a canopy over the third floor balcony
- New trauma bay in the Emergency Department
- Family Waiting Room & Furniture in the Surgery Department
- Honor Wall - Main Hospital
- Simulator Room in the Cancer Center
