Service to our hospital is service to our community
Volunteers serve Alpena Regional Medical Center in many capacities. Their dedicated effort to provide direct assistance to patients; support paid staff members; and raise funds for medical equipment purchase makes a direct impact on the quality of service at our hospital.
Volunteers at ARMC are motivated by their desire to serve others. Although they are not compensated for their services with money, the knowledge they have served their community by enhancing the quality of health care services is a great reward. By helping others, many volunteers find that they too benefit from personal growth and development. This is certainly the most important “fringe benefit” we can offer to our volunteer staff.

Volunteer prospects can fill out an application, and are then interviewed and attend a mandatory orientation prior to being placed in any of our services.
Although the different groups affiliated with ARMC have varied goals and objectives, each is based on a common theme — to serve the needs of Alpena Regional Medical Center.
